Herbal tea to soothe that hacking cough

Simple. Easy to make. Effective. Tasty!

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoon lemon rind organic please!
  • ½ teaspoon ginger root fresh
  • 1 teaspoon sage leaves fresh or dry
  • ½ teaspoon thyme leaves fresh or dry

Instructions

  1. Place above ingredients into a glass jar or tea pot
  2. Add just boiled water.
  3. Cover and steep for 15 minutes.
  4. Strain tea, then add the juice of ½ lemon and 1 tablespoon honey (local raw honey is best).
  5. Drink two to three cups daily for cough relief.

Recipe Notes

Make from fresh when possible. Keep dried herbs in dark cupboard in glass jars. If possible, keep a jar of both thyme and sage on hand. Your family will thank you.
