Love-Infused Wine

It's easy. It's a delightful !

Ingredients

  • 1 glass jar 1 litre or 1 quart size
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon powder or 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 teaspoon ginger root powder or fresh ginger root peeled about 1 inch long
  • option 1 -- 1 inch piece of vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • or option 2 -- 2 cardamom pods + 2 star anise
  • 3 cups red wine or one 750 ml bottle

Instructions

  1. Add the red wine to the jar
  2. Add the herbal components
  3. Stir to mix ingredients.
  4. Place lid on the jar. Put into a cool, dark cupboard for 3-5 days.
  5. Strain well (or 2x) into another jar or a pretty glass decanter. It's ready!!!

Recipe Notes

Note: If using vanilla bean, score it lengthwise and add to the jar. (I normally use my own home-made vanilla extract because it's easy to use if 'on hand') BY THE WAY: if you have a vanilla bean, you can always put the excess into some organic sugar in a small jar and make 'vanilla sugar')
