Herbal Iced Tea Recipes - Easy Template

Use this easy guide to make unlimited combinations of refreshing teas! This recipe makes: 1 litre (4 cups)

Ingredients

  • 2 –4 tablespoons dried herbs or ½–1 cup fresh herbs
  • 4 cups water
  • honey maple syrup, or other sweetener (optional)
  • sliced citrus berries, cucumber, fresh herbs, or edible flowers for garnish (optional)
  • Bring the water to a boil.

Instructions

  • Bring the water to a boil.
  • Place the herbs in a teapot, heatproof jar, or French press.
  • Pour the boiling water over the herbs and cover.
  • Allow to steep for 15–30 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  • Strain out the herbs.
  • If using a sweetener, stir it into the warm tea until dissolved.
  • Add any desired extras such as citrus slices, berries, fresh herbs, or edible flowers.
  • Allow the tea to cool, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
  • Serve over ice and garnish as desired.

Notes

For the most flavourful iced tea, make the infusion slightly stronger than you would for a hot tea. The ice will dilute the tea as it melts, creating a perfectly balanced drink.
