Turmeric Tahini Recipe

This is an easy condiment recipe that is a favourite in my family! SO GOOD and GOOD for US!!

Enjoy directly by the spoonful, or mix into warm water, tea, or plant milk for a soothing Golden Elixir

Ingredients

  • ½ pint sesame tahini
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil or substitute coconut oil
  • ¼ cup raw honey local if possible
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice organic if possible
  • ¼ –½ cup turmeric powder organic preferred
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine tahini, sesame (or coconut) oil, and honey.
  2. Stir in the lemon juice gradually until smooth.
  3. Add turmeric powder a little at a time, adjusting the amount to taste and desired intensity.
  4. Mix in freshly ground black pepper to enhance absorption of turmeric’s beneficial compounds.
  5. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Recipe Notes

Uses:

Use as a spread on toast or crackers.

Drizzle over roasted vegetables or grain bowls.

Stir into warm water or milk for a soothing golden elixir.

Shelf life:

Keeps well 2–3 weeks refrigerated.

Up to 4 weeks if handled cleanly (always use a clean, dry spoon).

Discard if it develops an off smell, mold, or a fermented taste.
